REAL REVIEWS FROM REAL PEOPLE

I must admit I was somewhat skeptical that you could gain and hold the interest of an audience of male delinquent adolescents, many inner-city kids. However, your witty, diverse and interactive approach had the boys either mesmerized or rolling with laughter.

To be able to entrance children and adults for 60 minutes is quite the impossible. This is far from impossible for Roger the Jester.

Entertainers who perform for individuals with developmental disabilities need to possess a certain skill level to be succussful. They need to read the audience, be prepared for anything and adapt the program accordingly. Roger was able to do this and so much more.

Mr Reed's performance was one of the most delightful and valuable programs that we have had here in the sixteen years that I have been involved in coordinating these programs. He is a consummate performer who relates very well to young people, and the universal accessibility of his program accentuated its value on several educational levels.

It was not just the kids' laughter I noticed, it was my own. It may have been my first time, but I think I actually guffawed.

His ability to move into a space that's undefined and make it his performance venue, that is his extraordinary card as a performer. He circles an area and makes his own spot. then draws an audience to that spot. He's basically a genius at doing that.

Every camp has children you LOVE to watch, and children you HAVE to watch. One of our campers is so difficult that his staff wanted to make t-shirts saying "This summer I survived John Smith." He's ADD, usually distracted by anything and everything, and a continual wanderer. On July 10, John Smith sat for one hour, laughtng and clapping and totally enjoying your performance. (I think half the staff missed your show because they were watching John's face.) I don't know where or how you touched this child, but your world became John's world for that hout and it was awesome. Now that's what I call talent.
